Why Use a Credentialed Mediator?

Mediators credentialed through the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association all meet very specific requirements, including adherence to a Code of Ethics, a grievance process and well-established Standards of Practice.  All credential holders have met minimum standards of training, experience and continuing education in the mediation field.  For a list of credentialed mediators, click here. Watch for Your Name* in the June State Bar Journal

TMCA is pleased to feature its Credential Holders in the center spread of the June issue of the Texas State Bar’s magazine, the State Bar Journal.  We had originally planned to advertise in the May issue; however, based on other advertising commitments of the Bar, it will now run in the June issue.

This marks the first time TMCA has run a two-page advertisement.  Last summer, in our Mediation Benchbook, we opted to list mediators by county.  This was so well received that we decided to do the same in our State Bar Journal advertising. And, it takes two pages to list our 338 credential holders!

Thank you for promoting quality mediation throughout Texas by being a TMCA Credential Holder.

* If you were an approved TMCA Credential Holder as of 4/30/12.

Sent to All Civil Court Judges in Texas

This Mediation Benchbook provides Texas judges and others that utilize mediation a resource that includes mediation statutes, sample mediation orders, TMCA guidelines and grievance process, and the Texas Supreme Court ethics orders. Inside the Benchbook’s front cover is a list of Credential holders by county. This is the first time TMCA listed its Credential holders by county. Since this Benchbook was mailed to more than 1200 District, County, Federal and Supreme Court judges, we wanted these decision-makers to be able to easily find Credentialed mediators within their counties/regions. The Benchbook was funded by your dues and an educational grant from the James W. Gibson Scholarship Fund.

Late summer 2012, TMCA plans to mail a Benchbook supplement to this same list of judges.  The supplement will include an updated list of Credential Holders.
